The Silence Kit

The Silence Kit, started by Patrick McCay (singer/guitarist ) back in 2002 as a solo recording project, is a Philadelphia based-post-punk band with post punk, shoegaze, neo-psychedelia, avant-garde and indie rock influences. They have released three albums on Break Even Records and Azteca Records : "In Regulated Measure" (2006), "A Strange Labor"(2008), "Dislocations" (2010). The band's current line-up is singer/ guitarist  Patrick McCay, bass player Don Ocava, drummer Jay Dyer, James Cuartero on keysboard and guitarist Christopher Gill.They received positive  press reviews and  are often compared to bands like The Cure, Joy Division, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Psychedelic Furs.They're  recently released two new free EPs : "In Parts" and "The Stairs". They're both available as free downloads via their Bandcamp page here.
