The preston tucker project

The Preston Tucker Project, nasce prima di tutto dalla stima
reciproca fra i componenti.
Punto di partenza questo, per una ricerca libera, del proprio carattere.
Senza porsi limiti, il gruppo cresce con una certa continuità fino alla produzione
di alcuni pezzi, slegati tra loro, ma che evidenziano una apertura totale alla
novità.
I primi incontri tra i componenti si basano sull'improvvisazione e non ci sono
limiti nemmeno nella scelta dello strumento: Giacomo Salzano, bassista degli
Stella Diana, si muove tra batteria, effetti, loop ed il basso, ovviamente.
Roberto Amato, chitarrista de Le Voci Di Dentro, si sposta al basso, alla drum
machine, effetti, tastiera, oltre che alla chitarra.
Flavio G. Romano, chitarrista per formazione, si ritrova a suonare, prima che
la chitarra stessa, tastiere, effetti, drum machine e si dedica al computer
programming nonché alla voce.
The Preston Tucker Project è un progetto giovane che non ha ancora compiuto
il primo anno. L'esperienza e la passione dei suoi creatori lo portano però
a crescere e ad evolversi molto velocemente, registrando i primi demo e
iniziando una serie di concerti e di partecipazione a festival e napoli e in
campania.
Il nome deriva dal nome proprio di un inventore/sognatore americano molto
attivo durante e dopo la seconda guerra mondiale.
Di quest’ultimo il gruppo non cerca di "rimarcarne" le gesta dell'inventore,
bensì quelle del sognatore.
L'idea è che nella vita ci sia bisogno di un sogno per far muovere tutto.

The Preston Tucker Project was born mainly thanks to the great respect among
the members of the band.
This is the starting point for a free musical and human research of the band’s
nature.
Without limits the band develops with some continuity to the point of create
several songs, very different from each other but with a complete openness to
the novelty.
The firs rehearsals were based on some improvisations, there were no limits
about the choice of the instruments: Giacomo Salzano, bassplayer of his own
band Stella Diana, here plays drums, effects, loops and obviously the bass.
Roberto Amato, guitar player of his band named Le Voci di Dentro, here plays
the bass, keyboards, drum-machine, effects and guitar too.
Flavio G. Romano, who is a guitarist with a classical education, besides playing
guitar and singing he plays keyboards, effects, drum machine and computer
programming.
The Preston Tucker Project it’s a young project with less than one year of
activity, but the expertise and the passion of his members leads the band to
develop very quickly.
The band has recorded his first demo-tape and is doing his first gigs and festivals around
Naples and in south Italy.
The name of the band is taken by Preston Tucker who was an American automobile
designer and entrepreneur, from whom they try to catch the deeds of the

dreamer more than the ones of the constructor.
The main idea is that in the life we always need a dream to move everything
around us.
